| RETURNS POLICY | 21 Day Return Policy. Item(s) must be returned to us with a post-mark date on or before 21 days after purchase. No refunds, only replacements for defective/broken merchandise. Frequently Asked Questions: How much does it cost to produce a CD from a vinyl record? $39.95 for LPs (Full Albums), and $25.95 for Singles. Discounts are available for multiple vinyl. (plus the cost of the vinyl record w/ shipping of course). For example, if the album costs $12 + $4 shipping for us to obtain (which is average), then the price listed for that album would be $55.95. What if I just want a few songs without any artwork? $9.95 per song. Discounts are available for multiple songs. Minimum of $19.95 per project. $40 is a lot of money - why does it cost so much? 1 hour of labor in our digital remastering studio, cost of materials, artwork reproduction, quality control and excellent customer service. It’s really an incredible value! Can I rip songs from your CDs to my iPod or other MP3 device? Yes. There is no difference between our CDs and commercially released CDs. In fact, we include digital TAGS imbeded with the data on our CDs so that your text-enabled CD players can display artist/album information. Do your CDs have copyright protection that prevents me from making a back-up copy? No. In fact, we suggest making a backup copy if you plan on listening to our CD's in an automobile stereo, since some manufacturers caution that CD's w/ adhesive labels (such as ours) could cause problems in extreme-weather climates. Is what you're doing legal? Yes. The “Fair-Use” portion of copyright law allows you to own fair-use copies of legally obtained intellectual property (i.e. vinyl records). Can’t I just purchase the CD? I have no need for the vinyl. No. In order to own a CD, you must also own the vinyl record. This is due to the requirements of copyright law, and in order to protect the rights of the artists. If I send you my vinyl record(s) to have put on CD, will you send them back to me? Yes. Can I trade-in my vinyl records for CDs? No. If you send us your vinyl records to have them converted to CD, we are required to send the vinyl back to you. Are your CDs “pressed” or “burned”? Our CDs are burned. Some studies suggest that burned CDs will out-last pressed CDs by as much as 20 years. Not sure what burned means? Don’t worry about it. How will you ship my order? United States Postal Service (USPS). Special arrangements can be made to ship or receive packages via UPS or FedEx - just ask us. How long does the whole process take? Currently, 2.5 weeks is the average ship time on orders. It could take as long as 4 weeks depending on how long it takes for us to obtain the vinyl. Occasionally, we need to re-order vinyl if we need to find one of better quality etc. Do you already have CDs made for all of the albums listed on your website? No. I’m an artist – and I’m upset that you’re selling my music! Can I sue you? Sure! You could also send us a quick message and we’ll respectfully remove your material from our website. Will you have my babbies? No. |
| STOCK CONDITION | All CD's are new, and include SS, NM or VG+ vinyl. Do your CDs sound good? Do you remove clicks, pops, hiss and surface noise from the vinyl record? Yes...Yes, Yes, Yes & Yes! Recently, due to our world-wide reputation for quality, we have been chosen by modern record labels to digitally remaster/restore recordings for albums which are now commercially available on Amazon.com and other major music outlets. Why is the same album listed multiple times with different prices? While we've done a fairly good job of removing duplicates from our database, there are still going to be a couple. This is because we have 100's of vinyl suppliers all around the world, which results in a master list of over 3 million vinyls. Probably best to choose the least expensive one, although we wouldn't complain if you choose the more expensive one. Why wouldn't I just buy a Turntable from Costco for $200 which connects to my computer and does the same thing? The stylus (aka "needle") that we use with our turntables easily costs $200 by itself. The equipment used for cleaning the vinyl, processing, remastering etc. amounts to a studio worth several thousand dollars. We do not use a turntable connected to a Computer - we are a full blown recording studio w/ sophisticated remastering equipment which uses next-generation components to convert analog to digital in real time resulting in: 44.1kHz Playback Sampling Frequency 20Hz - 20kHz Frequency Response 96kHz D/A Conversion Once the audio has been extracted from the vinyl record, the following steps are taken to remaster the audio: State-of-the-art, next-generation algorithms are used to manually remove clicks and pops. Noise Reduction is applied to the audio to remove surface noise from the vinyl record. The individual tracks are separated in preparation for being placed on the Master CD. Each track is Normalized to achieve optimal playback volume for today's modern stereo equipment. The original album art from the vinyl cover is beautifully replicated for the front and back of a standard CD jewel case. The Artist, Album, and Label information is displayed on the "Spine" of the CD jewel case. The CD booklet contains the Artist, Album, Year, Label and Tracks. |
